The editorial secretariat receives the article and sends a message to the author within a fortnight. At the same time, the editorial board is informed, and suggests possible names for reviewers.
The article and an evaluation sheet are sent to two anonymous reviewers. Neither reviewer is informed of the other's identity.
Within a maximum of 6 weeks of the article being sent to the reviewers, they send in their report, following the advice given in the evaluation sheet.
The editorial board meets once every two months to examine the evaluation reports received. Only the Editorial Board can decide what action to take.
In the case of a thematic issue coordinated by a guest editor, the latter, in conjunction with the Editorial Board, is responsible for selecting the proposals, notifying the authors, and selecting the articles retained after evaluation.
If an article initially submitted in response to a thematic call requires significant revisions before it can be resubmitted, it may be represented in the "Varia" section.
Articles not formatted following the instructions are returned to the authors for editing.
